Group Overview: The Coven of Akhelarre trains and inititates suitable candidates into the Priest/Priestesshood of the Wicca in the old British Traditional manner. Our lineage hails from a four fold British family which includes the practices of Alexandrian, Gardnerian, Hereditary and Celtic Traditional.
Our elders in Britain are Sally Taylor H.Ps. known to the Craft as Lady Binah Crone of Kent and David Mapley H.P. known to the Craft as Arthur Pendragon. Our roots include other traditions as well.
Richard Ravish known to the Craft as Azaradel H.P. , also a qabalist and thelemite, and Gypsy Ravish, also a singer.songwriter recording artist, known to the Craft as Lady Zara H.Ps. are the coven leaders and have recently been honored with the sacred task of being caretakers of Sally Taylor's Kentish Witchcraft family line in America.
At the Coven of Akhelarre we practice the three degree system of initiations and begin a seeker's journey with rites of dedication. Our outer court meetings on New Moons include eclectic practices and emphasize astrology, planetary correspondences, herbcraft, spellcraft, elemental workings, proper circle procedure, chanting, dancing, ettiquette, suggested reading materials, meditation, psychic development and a commitment to the Craft of the Wise.
Our Inner Court meetings on Full Moons are for initiates only and may include magicks as we will.
Our outer work includes the Temple of Nine Wells-ATC where we celebrate the 8 open sabbats of the Witches Wheel of the Year.
As our vows dictate, there are no monetary fees for these services but coven donations may be requested and are always appreciated.
