Group Overview: The Krewe of Hermes is a performance art and social group for Greek pagans, Greek myth enthusiasts, and people who enjoy performance art.
The most important thing we do is our yearly foot parade across the Boston Commons, which has been described as "Dadaist" performance art by some and "a glamour bomb" by others. We also host parties, balls, and other social events, like any decent krewe. Recently, the Krewe of Hermes has also been working with the Pagans of Norfolk County in an effort to help provide public rituals and classes to magickally inclined people in the Boston area.
Anyone can come to any of our events, which are, by nature, open to the public. It takes a very special kind of person, however, to put their time and energy into outreach, community building, collection of food for the homeless, expanding minds and generally making the world a better place, not just virtually, but in real life.
If you are pagan, into performance art, into art generally, into "glamour bombs" or into planning fun social events, you should contact us. Let us know where your talents lie, and we will tell you what fun and exciting projects are currently afoot.
