For consideration of membership to the Hearth, one must be a member in good standing of The Sisterhood of Avalon. The Hearth has open teas, which is a way to meet and greet with the Hearth members & to learn more about the sisterhood.
The Sisterhood of Avalon™ is an International Celtic Women's Mysteries Organization which seeks to balance Intuitive Wisdom with Scholastic Achievement. The SOA focuses on research and teaching. Among our activities, we sponsor the Avalonian Thealogical Seminary, international training intensives, Spiritual Pilgrimages to Glastonbury and other Celtic Sacred Sites, a vast networking web, a barter and matronage program, a monthly newsletter and ample learning opportunities. Yr Afal a’r Crochan Aelwyd – The Apple and Cauldron Hearth of Maryland Open Tea Event!
The Apple and Cauldron Hearth of Maryland serving the MD/DC/VA/WVA areas is hosting an Open Tea for women who are interested in the Sisterhood of Avalon and membership in the Hearth. The Hearth meets bi-monthly for meetings and for full moon ritual each moon. The hearth is chartered by the Sisterhood of Avalon and therefore follows a syllabus and the tradition teachings. Information on the Sisterhood and the hearth will be provided at the open tea. The tea is scheduled for August 9th 2009 at 6:30pm. The tea will be held at a sisters home in Frederick Maryland. .
