Group Overview: Ecumenicon Fellowship is a multifaith church founded first as a religious education conference in Virginia in 1987. It has grown rapidly becoming an ongoing conference and worshipping organization throughout its now 20 years. We welcome people of every tradition, including Wiccans, Buddhists, Druids, Christians, Ifa, Jews, Norse, Zoroastrians, New Age, Cherokee, and Sufi, to name a few.
Our four principles are eclectic (freely choose the spirituality that warms your soul) , syncretic (blend everything together into a sum larger than its parts) , ecumenical (serve the whole community) , and mystic (trust your own relationship to the Divine) .
As a recognized church in the State of Maryland we are non-profit by our incorporation and have not yet chosen to be 501 (c) 3 (Federal jurisdiction) . Churches are not required to file as they are by law non-profit and Maryland considers us tax exempt.
Several of our constituent groups are 501 (c) 3 exempt charities.
Membership in Ecumenicon is by choice, not by committee. If you choose to join, you pay annual dues and actually show up to work, worship, and take part in activities. Membership is by active participation.
