Group Overview: The Stone Circle Tradition of Wicca is a Wiccan mystery tradition within the larger family of the Four Quarters Interfaith Sanctuary of Earth Religion, which exists to promote the spiritual development of Dedicants and Initiates; to encourage responsible fulfillment of diverse Wiccan vocations to priest/esshood; and to offer service to Four Quarters, to all in Earth’s Household, and to the Divine Spirit of the Universe, One and Many, Male, Female, Both, and Neither. We are a Church Circle of Four Quarters.
We have a three Degree system that focuses on ritual skills (especially those required for public, needs-based ceremony) , ethics, cosmology, and devotion at the First Degree level. Throughout our ceremonial and devotional work, we honor each individual's encounter with the Divine. Attendance at Wicca 101 classes is required of all Dedicants to the First Degree. These classes meet at Four Quarters on full moon Saturday afternoons, and are closed after the second meeting of classes for that session. The classes last for thirteen monthly meetings.
Stone Circle Wicca also offers a Wicca Seminar during New Moon Saturdays at Four Quarters. Anyone familiar with pagan ways of making ceremony is welcome at these classes, except current students of the 101 class. Classes are open throughout the year, on a drop-in basis.
Initiates of Stone Circle Wicca are trained to do a variety of needs-based, psycho-emotive ceremony--handfastings, baby blessings, ceremonies of grief and mourning, festival and moon services, and other ceremonies as needed by the community and its members.
