Group Overview: The Sacred Light Temple of Md is a Chartered Proto Temple of the Correllian Nativist Tradition. We are committed to upholding the beliefs and practices of the Correllian Tradition which puts an strong emphasis on the philosophical aspects of Wicca, and on the spirituality and inner mysteries of the Wiccan religion. Liturgically our beliefs do not especially differ from those of other Wiccan Traditions. The Correllian Tradition is dedicated to the advancement of the Pagan peoples, and believes strongly in the need for increased communication and cooperation between Pagans everywhere, from all Traditions. Correllianism emphasizes celebratory as well as initiatory Wicca, and is strongly committed to accessible public ritual.
We believe that Deity is in all things, therefore all paths can lead to Deity. We believe in the balance of honoring the God as well as the Goddess. We consider them equal. Being a Correllian initiate in the Outer Court does not mean you can not also be an Isian, Druidic, or Dianic initiate as well - or any other Tradition you might wish to study or join. You must however respect our tradition as a member and follow Correllian practices in Correllian Temples and events - but what you do other places is your choice.
Correllian Wicca is different from many other Traditions of Wicca in that we are a unified Tradition with a single leadership. The entire world-wide Tradition has a single structure allowing us to act together as few other Traditions can.
As Correllians we believe that we should move in synchronicity with Deity. We honor Nature and all that is in Her. We acknowledge the life in all things, and are in harmony with it. We use every tool available to grow, to learn, and to become the best that we can be. We use Magick, meditation, and ritual to overcome all limitations, all fears, all imperfections, and to move always in harmony with Deity, always to the good, always in accordance with our highest self. This is what it is to be a Correllian member.
The Sacred Light Temple of Md, Proto Temple holds public rituals for all 8 Sabbats and holds private Esbats. We offer real time and online classes in both the Correllian Tradition in addition to other topics.
