Group Overview: Circle of Wondrous Stories is a longtime Eclectic Wiccan circle or coven in the local Detroit area community since Candlemas 1991. For many years, as original members of the Detroit community, the Circle with Oberon and Banshee, HP/S, have produced many rituals, workshops and support for other groups or events in the area. They have a number of signature and classic rituals such as"Hecate Night", and their 10 year run of Beltane celebrations at Paradise Pines. They perform special honorings and Feast Days for Kwan-Yin, Isis and other Gods and Goddesses as well as more traditional Sabbats.
Currently the circle is a National member of the Covenant of the Goddess, CoG. They have been involved with the Tempest Smith Foundation, Federation of Circles and Solitaires, CUUPS Detroit and other past organizations.
Circle of Wondrous Stories is not a teaching coven and currently not accepting new members, but due to their partnership with CoG, they try to assist qualified Witches or Wiccans join CoG or possibly find other Covens or groups that may assist with training and other needs.
Currently, HP Oberon serves the National Board of the Covenant as their Correspondence Officer and also as one of the National Interfaith Representatives, working in several Detroit area Interfaith groups. He presents at Interfaith gatherings in the area and region representing the Covenant and networking with people from other religions, educating on the Wiccan religion and related topics.
