Group Overview: Hotep and Welcome to the Temple of Isis Michigan
We are a 3 year old group founded for those of us who reside in the state of Michigan and the Great Lakes area to provide forum and location for those who practice or are deeply interested in the Great Egyptian Mysteries for those who may not otherwise have an outlet for their beliefs based on personal geographical location or other reasons. This group is for men, women and teens who feel a powerful draw to the Egyptian Mysteries and wish to meet with others who feel the same connection. The group's main focus is on Isis, Osiris, Horus and Atum Ra which includes the Heliopolan/Abydos Ennead, but all Egyptian Neteru are open for discussion. This group is not restricted to people in the Great Lakes area. All are welcome.
Our teaching mission/goal is:
To learn to connect with the various Egyptian Gods and Goddesses.
Help those who also wish to practice solitary as well. That they have a group to reach out. And ritual work that you can perform at home.
Hold education groups and discussions on those Gods and Goddesses.
How to create ritual garb and altar set up at home to feel connected during personal ritual time.
Gain a connection with others who may otherwise also feel completely alone.
Hold monthly meetings where all persons will have the opportunity to express themselves and ask questions about the topic on hand. (Discussion groups and formal rituals will be restricted to those 16 years and older.)
We also wish to hold rituals with group members and serious newcomers to celebrate the ancient Egyptian holidays, seasons, moon cycles and celebrations associated with specific Neteru. (Gods)
Events such as picnics, and outdoor events will be open to newcomers, members and their children.
My personal goal is to continue my studies and receive ordination as a Priestess of Isis for the benefit of the Temple and to others in the name of Isis.
I welcome all to join and enjoy the opportunity for ancient knowledge, self expression and to learn and share your experiences and/or wisdom of the Great Gods of the ancient land of Kemet. Also for those who may be new to learn in a safe environment . May the Blessings of Isis enfold you for eternity.
