Group Overview: I was once a Church Pastor and although it was a very liberal and also a mystic church, I still began to become somewhat disenfranchised with the Christianity portions of the religion. I also became disenfranchised with the politics.
I have spent a great portion of my life involved with mystic religion and the concepts that are inherent in Wicca, but shared with other religions. I have committed myself to the religion of Wicca for a number of years, realizing it to be the only religion that expresses my spirituality and beliefs. I have practiced mostly as a solitary, but I have tried participation with other groups and ended up believing that some members of the groups weren't as interested in the religion as I would like people that I practice with to be.
We are looking for people who share the same vision as we do. We believe that deity is both monotheistic and polytheistic (as deity is represented by the creation and symbolized for humanity as the Lord and the Lady as well as other representations) . We believe in magick, we believe in ritual and we believe in prayer. We believe in the power of a like-minded group and in the group taking on it's own personality by growing together as a family based in spirituality.
All members of the group should be trusted teachers when the time is right and all members should be open minded students because continual learning is the key to spiritual growth.
I would be interested in forming a legal religious group, with recognized clergy eventually. There are numerous benefits to the group in doing this.
