Group Overview: House Corvus is a household in Lansing that is comprised of various groups focused heavily on education. We are currently comprised of two ritual groups (clan/coven/etc.) as well as specialized guilds focused on the development of specific skills.
We are NOT an open group, and you must be extended an invitation to join the household. You must be referred by a current member of the household, and a relationship of trust must be developed between you and the leaders of the household.
Once you have established a relationship with the leaders of the household, you may then be invited into one of the groups.
Various leaders of the household offer public classes at several of the metaphysical bookstores around Lansing, which is a good way to express interest in the household while giving us a chance to find out about you.
Our views currently lean towards the Non-Gardnerian craft in several different forms. We work heavily with ecstatic practice, doing a lot of fetch work. We also connect with our ancestors and the ancestral current to deepen our understandings and enrich our practice. Several members also have a strong interest in shamanic practice, hoodoo, various forms of energy and folk healing, and Feri traditions.
We are always evolving as we walk the Crooked Path, and we expect the face of the Household to change, as all things in nature that thrive do so through change and evolution. This being said, we are VERY cautious as to who we decide to invite into our extended family. We have complete trust and confidence when working with one another, and changing the dynamic of the group is not done lightly. If you are interested in working with us, don't expect an automatic invitation to our next ritual. While we officially became a group earlier in 2009, many of us have been working together for years prior to this. We must see that you are dedicated to long term growth and cooperation before our doors fully open to you.
