Spiritual Path: Celtic Eclectic/Women's Growth
Status: Group Forming
Community Support: Open Circles... Teaching Available

Group Overview: This group is dedicated to women, to our personal growth and development, and helping us become healers in all aspects. This group will focus largely on what we can glean from Celtic tradition, understanding that much of it is reconstruction, and doing the best we can to understand the way our ancient mothers lived and taught, loved and celebrated.

Two paths are available to women who wish to participate in Moondance. The Sisterhood circle is open to all women, to celebrate together, learn at your own pace, share and listen, teach and be taught. A learning curriculum is available which includes specifics of Celtic history and tradition along with ways to apply magical and spiritual practices to today's lifestyle. The Priestess Path is open to those who want to push deeper, challenge themselves harder, are ready to face and transform their shadow, to become a healed, whole woman unto herself. In serving the self in this way, the Priestess prepares to serve others. The learning in this Path is more structured and will also be self-paced. It will require the candidate to have established a spiritual practice of her own and to be ready to do deep personal work on herself. For those who have followed and shared this self-directed preparation path, special ceremonies will be available, tailored to your needs, to commemorate the day you took on the official mantle of "Priestess."

These two groups of women will do most things together, with a few extra study sessions for the Priestess candidates. Women from all levels of experience are welcome. We are all learners, we are all teachers.

Participants from all backgrounds and traditions are welcome and no one will ask you to give up or walk away from any belief system you currently hold. This is up for your own discernment.

I am hoping for 12 women in addition to myself, making our number 13, the number of lunar months per year.
Meetings will take the form of study groups, full and dark moon rituals, social activities for bonding and fun and sometimes, family events. Personal work in between meetings will include projects related to your journey, journaling and suggested reading. In this group, your level of commitment will be directly responsible for your level of achievement. There is nothing wrong with those who wish to be part of the Sisterhood Circle and not pursue a Priestess Path. Everyone knows what they need at this time, when they listen deep within.

While this group will be highly democratic with very limited hierarchy (if any) , I will serve as spiritual director, providing basic facilitation, organization and a curriculum. Women with leadership skills and a desire to serve are welcome to participate and share in these tasks. I established my Celtic spiritual practice 12 years ago, have been a participant in the Sisterhood of Avalon's Seminary Program and regularly participate in continuing education courses to expand my learning in spirituality, shamanism, healing arts, history and world religion. I am also a Master Teacher of Usui Reiki. I have taught workshops in herbal lore and moon magic as well as facilitating public ritual for seasonal festivals. While I am eager to share ideas and learning with others, I am equally eager to learn from you!

Please e-mail if you require more information, or for an introduction form. Thank you and many blessings,
Jessica
