Group Overview: We are a new group of Pagan Artists and Crafters looking for like minded individuals to join us. All are welcome!
Our first event will be a Meet & Greet and Artist Trading Card (ATC) swap on Saturday, August 27th, 2011. We are still looking for a venue, so please contact us if you would like to host.
Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards, 2 ˝ X 3 ˝ inches. They are small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland. Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.) , wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.) , paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals or cloth. The cards are usually traded or exchanged rather than sold. Cards can be found for approx $2 a pack for 10 - 20 blank cards at most art supply locations.
Please keep your cards Pagan Themed and make enough for everyone to have one. A Final total of participants will be listed here on Aug. 20th, so you will know how many to make.
