Group Overview: Hearthfires is a community support group of individuals & organizations practicing and teaching earth-centered paths. Our mission is to provide resources for mutual support and self-awareness for a diverse community of people of Pagan spiritual paths. We serve as a forum for networking and education, and as a point of contact for new people. We advocate religious freedom, healing, and tolerance for people of all faiths. We seek facilitation of greater understanding and acceptance of Paganism through public relations and outreach, while serving as a public representative for local Pagans to the larger community.
To this end, Hearthfires hosts open educational events, and also sponsors "Pagan Forum, " featuring topical discussion and social time, on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm at the Boone County Govt. Center (801 Walnut St., Columbia, MO) .
Although we are listed as an adult group, many of our holiday celebrations and other special events are kid-friendly. Please check Witchvox or email us at hearthfires@yahoo.com

However, as we delight in the diversity which is our strength, Hearthfires does not pretend nor intend to be the only expression of Pagan/earth-centered spirituality in our community. We are committed to providing a place for all voices to come together. We welcome the support and energies of all folk of good will. Let wisdom and healing flourish!
