Group Overview: CSS Folk School was created to work on social issues in Mississippi. We are a clean and sober space. That means no drugs or alcohol! (you would be amazed at some who needed clarification!)
If you are looking for an alternative to the Majick "party scene" then we would be IT in Mississippi. We lose support because of our rules about drugs/alcohol but we have decided that maybe it is not support that we need any way. There has to be a "safe" space in our communities!
We are also a PFLAG representative in the area. Counselor's are on staff at CSS as well as Adult Educators. If we don't know how to help then we can find someone who will. We work on issues to include but are not limited to: economic human rights, gay/lesbian/trangendered issues, education, religious freedom, gender bias etc....
