Hecate's Cauldron
A WitchVox Sponsor

Age Range/Type: Adult
Located in: Jackson, Mississippi
Key Contact: Elaanie Stormbender,

Spiritual Path: Open Circle
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Open Circles... Legal Clergy... Teaching Available

Group Overview: Hecate's Cauldron is a Witch's Circle. We are not a coven so all traditions are welcome ... it is our goal to bring witch's and interested pagans together for Wheel of the Year celebrations so that we may build strength in our numbers and presence. While it is NOT our goal to subvert small groups/covens, we realize that if we always remain segmented, we will never have an impact on the larger geographical area of Mississippi. Better than most, pagans know that the more people holding the same intention, the stronger the resonance in the Universe!

Hecate's Cauldron does firmly ground its educational and ritual foundation in the Temple of Witchcraft tradition, founded by Christopher Penczak ( or . Though we hold a high level of respect for Mr. Penczak, this is NOT because of our devotion to him! It IS for the purpose of providing a credible vehicle for learning and delving more deeply into the Mysteries, but also to create a common language amongst ourselves as a community. All who are interested in studying with us may apply and information on our classes is listed under the Witchvox "Events" page.

Together we celebrate Sabbats, we offer classes, social opportunities, Rites of Passage, AND as an organization, we collect donations for two very important charitable programs in Jackson. We donate as a witch organization in hopes of creating a more pagan-friendly environment through education and exposure to what it is we really believe and practice as a spiritual culture. Ignorance of witchcraft is both unfortunate and often still quite prevalent in our state. Little by little, we hope to enlighten the greater community of Mississippi.

We find ego and commercialism in spiritual pursuits offensive and endeavor to avoid this type behavior as a community. However, we are a "meritocrasy." This means that those who have the objective education, skills and experience level, and who are willing to roll up their sleeves and make a commitment are the ones who drive the function of HC! This does not mean everyone must have the same level of commitment, but that our High Priestess, High Priest, and project leaders MUST.

Our circle is now three years old and we are growing rapidly! Please visit us at and become a member! The forum has many categories and is active. You may friend Elaanie Stormbender, HPS, or Erin Coats on Facebook and ask to be added to our invitation list for our next new member meet and greet! You will be directed to our information gatekeeper! We schedule these functions quarterly and sometimes more often when necessary!

While we all hope for the day when Witches can be as open with their spiritual path as our Baptist friends, we are realists, and we aggressively work to protect those who prefer to, or who must, remain in the proverbial broom closet. So please be patient with us while we get to know you ... and take the opportunity to do likewise! We realize no one group is for everyone!

Hecate's Cauldron of Mississippi has only a few threshold requirements for participation in our community:

1) All participants are expected to come to us in a posture of "harm none."
2) all members must be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by a parent or guardian.
3) No participant who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs may enter the Circle.

These rules are in place to protect all members of our community!

Come join us as we turn the Wheel of the Year and send love and healing to the Earth and it's inhabitants!
