Group Overview: Hecate's Cauldron is a not-for-profit Witch's Circle. We are not a coven so all traditions are welcome ... it is our goal to bring all witch's and interested pagans together for Wheel of the Year celebrations so that we may build strength in our numbers and presence. While it is NOT our goal to subvert small groups/covens, we realize that if we always stay segmented in little isolated groups, we will never impact the larger geographical area of Mississippi. All small groups and covens are welcome to participate in any of our activities while still maintaining their individuality. Our invitations are for friendly communion of like-minded individuals. We all know, better than most, that the more people holding the same intention, the stronger the resonance in the Universe!
Together we celebrate Sabbats, we offer classes, social opportunities, Rites of Passage, AND as an organization, we collect donations for two (and soon three) very important charitable programs in Jackson and donate as a Witch Organization in hopes of creating a more pagan-friendly environment through education and exposure to what it is we really believe and do as a spiritual culture.
Furthermore, we find ego and commercialism in spiritual pursuits offensive and endeavor to avoid this type behavior as a community. We do NOT glorify a single leader or member or concern ourselves with titles; instead, we are aggressively seeking new areas of service and the appropriate leadership to further that service. We collect monies only to afford certain opportunities to the pagan community which could not otherwise be enjoyed such as donations to visiting teachers and support to the physical location owners where we meet, etc.
Our circle is now nine months old and we are growing in leaps and bounds! Please visit us at www.hecates-cauldron.org and become a member! The forum has many categories and is active. You may friend Lisa Dunn, Erin Coats, or Elaanie Stormbender on Facebook and ask to be added to our private Hecate's Cauldron FB group ... this is a significant vehicle for socializing, planning, and just plain old-fashioned Witchy fun! That said, while we all hope for the day when Witches can be as open with their spiritual path as Baptists, we are realists, and we vehemently work to protect those who prefer to, or who must, remain in the proverbial broom closet.
Hecate's Cauldron of Mississippi embraces the Wiccan Rede, and is an open circle which honors all traditions that promote perfect love and perfect trust! Come join us as we send love and healing to the Earth and it's inhabitants!
