Group Overview: We are a small group of individuals committed to the priest/ess path of Wicca. We work from the Gardnerian Tradition as our core base, but we carefully explore, study, and add other complementary and beneficial esoteric practices. We enhance and focus traditional Wiccan wisdom towards realizing full spiritual and magical potential possible in this lifetime.
Highland Wild currently offers introductory events to Initiation into the coven priest/esshood. All coven initiates start with Open Court events before committing to the coven, however, we also maintain Open Court events for sharing, fellowship and pathworking.
Community outreach events are open to anyone and depend on availability of community space and time. These are facilitated by initiated priests/esses of Highland Wild and are intended to reach beyond our Wiccan framework with a more community inclusive focus to learn and fellowship with like-minded souls. In the past we’ve worked with CERES to facilitate ritual gatherings, and educational events in the Asheville, NC area.
Currently we’re offering the Mystical Meditations gathering at Marshall High Studios twice a month where we cover elemental activities and ceremonial exercises that are utilized by many metaphysical paths that share in common the sacredness of Nature, Self, and Magic and their connection to each other. This is a good place to start if you are very new to metaphysical practices, or are still deciding about what kind of practices and path you are interested in. There is no enrollment or meeting, simply show up at the desginated time and place.
Since 2006, we’ve attend several regional Burning Man gatherings each year as the Hot Witches Brews offering a theme camp for all metaphysical mystics, magical gypsies, and village witches to call home and create sacred space in which to offer altars, art, potions and magical gifts to the Burner community. The Hidden Children Open Court consists of pre-initiate Dedicants or those seriously considering dedication to the coven and priest/ess hood. Material and activities are focused moreso on coven-Wiccan material and pathwork with the goal of initiation. Meets for Full Moon Esbats and additional gatherings as scheduled. I am happy to meet with any interested soul who would like to enroll in THC Open Court. I meet with everyone first for an Q & A and orientation, although no formal committment is required to attend the first few meetings.
The inner Coven consists of initiated priestesses and priests, meets on every Sabbat and as able to on Esbats, including special rites such as initiations or hand-fastings. Dedicants from the Open Court may be invited at times to attend rituals when appropriate.
