The Appalachian Pagan Alliance is an eclectic group of Witches, Pagans, and Wiccans from
various traditions. Many of our members are indeed Appalachian Folk magic and Religion
Tradition Witches, but the APA also has members from a lot of different paths of Paganism
that just happen to live in, or are from the Magical Appalachian Mountains.

We Are a politically active, vocal, loud, and proud group, who work to promote the awareness and acceptance of Paganism as the ancient and honorable religion that it indeed is and has been for over a million years. We work to dispel the propaganda, misconceptions and stereotypes that other modern faiths have spread about us, our Gods, and our Beliefs. We work to follow the ancient Gods, to continue the ancient traditions, and practice the ancient religion of the Mother Earth.

The Appalachian Pagan Alliance organized the "We Still Work Magic" rally in 2000 that was held at a Public High School, in protest of the Christian "We Still Pray" School Prayer Rally that was held there the month before. "We Still Work Magic" drew over 400 Pagan participants, and received national media coverage from TIME magazine, MSNBC, the Associated Press, and dozens of newspapers, radio stations, and television networks all around the country.

The Appalachian Pagan Alliance sponsors the "Witchlings Circle" Children group, and annually hosts the "Witchlings' Circle Vacation Witchcraft School", as well as the Annual APA May Day Celebration and Annual Yule Gathering. We have thrice-monthly on-line meetings, as well as daily networking and fellowship through our Yahoogroups email list.
