Group Overview: As of June 12, 2008, Muscadine Grove, ADF is a newly minted provisionally chartered grove of Ar nDraiocht Fein: A Druid Fellowship. Local to eastern North Carolina, our primary focus is on the Norse hearth culture, though anyone interested in studying the Druid Path in a relaxed family setting is welcome.
We work together, both as a grove and within ADF as a whole, to revive the old ways in such a manner as to make them relevant to the modern world. We pursue excellence spiritually, artistically, and intellectually so that we can achieve closer relationships with the Three Kindreds: the Gods, the Ancestors (whether of blood, heart, or stead) and the Spirits of Nature.
We are emphatically polytheistic, meaning that we honor many gods, not as aspects of a whole, but as beings as separate and individual as we are ourselves.
We perform community service every quarter and consider environmental stewardship to be a sacred responsibility.
We offer open public worship on all eight of the regularly recongized NeoPagan High Days, as well as regular study, lore, and discussion meetings.
