Fargo Wicca 101 Study Group

Group Overview: I am beginning a monthly Wicca 101 study group in mid-August of this year. We will meet monthly, coming together for ritual and discussion. Study and individual effort is expected of all group members in addition to our monthly meetings.
The goal of the study group is for the students to become familiar with the origins of Wicca, Wiccan ethics, the elemental correspondences, the Wiccan concepts of Deity, the Wheel of the Year, and basic magical practice. At the conclusion, students will feel comfortable designing and conducting a ritual for themselves and participating in a group ritual setting. Students will gain a better understanding of how to incorporate Wiccan spirituality into their everyday life and will hopefully have a better understanding of where their spiritual path is taking them.
My teaching style direct and straightforward. I like to stay on topic and will not hesitate to stop the conversation and steer the group back on course. In the beginning, I prefer structure to free-style. As students become more confident in their own abilities during ritual, I encourage students to "go as the Spirit moves them" and to rely on their gut rather than a printed script. I will assign reading homework and will have handouts for certain topics. Note-taking and journal writing will be expected.

B’Aylana is a licensed minister through the Correllian Nativist Church, Inc. and Universal Life Church and is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity through Cherry Hill Seminary, the first seminary designed for Pagan clergy. She will gladly work with individuals, couples, or groups to create a meaningful ceremony for handfastings, cross-overs, wiccanings, blessing/birthingways, wo/mannings, and croning or sagings. B’Aylana is supportive of the GLBT and Poly communities. B'Aylana also offers ministerial counseling in the form of one-on-one discussion, Tarot Divination and Guidance, guided meditations, and ritual or spell work.
