Group Overview: Heartfyre is a tradition of Wicca which, while solidly based on the early Wiccan traditions of 50s - 70s, is strongly focused on personal growth and development through modern coven-based shamanic healing techniques.
It is for those individuals who wish to move beyond purely celebratory or devotional worship, to delve into the "deep, dark night of the soul" in their search for healing from psycho-spiritual trauma, and to deepen into their life's purpose and greater meaning.
Kevin will be teaching 6 week introductory courses in Eastern Nebraska/Western Iowa during 2010 for those wishing to eventually pursue a year and a day of study in Heartfyre Wicca.
Heartfyre Wicca is not a so-called "fluffy bunny" tradition. Although we certainly enjoy ourselves and have fun, we boldly walk the dark paths of the soul, facing our inner demons. But we do not do this unarmed. Heartfyre equips us with the tools necessary to make the journey, and within the circle of its covens, we need never walk those paths alone. Heartfyre covens are there to support, nurture, and occasionally hold the lamp for us to see the way.
Heartfyre teaches valuable life skills and provides a sort of "group counseling" support structure. As such, there is a tuition for this class. However, we believe that scarcity of funds should not be a barrier to those who are truly sincere and interested in making a contribution of their loving presence in the group. Anyone interested should not hesitate to contact us to discuss tuition rates.
