Group Overview: Mystic Sojourn CUUPS is an open, interfaith pagan group that has public meetings every other month at First Unitarian Church of Omaha. We typically meet the first Sunday evening every other month, though some changes are made to accommodate holidays. Many of our members attend a Unitarian church, but being a church goer is not required. Pagans, seekers, and other interested people are welcome. Feel free to contact us at email@example.com with questions!
As part of a national organization, our goals include educating people about paganism and promoting interfaith dialogue, along with encouraging the greater use of poetry, dancing, and creative rituals in Unitarian Universalist worship. As a group, we embrace the spiritual teachings of earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature. Our mission statement is to pledge ourselves to explore, respect, and revere the earth-based spiritual path.
Our bimonthly meetings are held in the common room (the lower level) at First Unitarian or outside if the weather permits. Use the side door to come in; it may be locked, but knock and we will let you in. Dress is casual. We occasionally have off-site meetings; that information is conveyed in our order of service and in the church newsletter, which is available online. Meetings are often rituals, but may be informative seminars on topics such as ritual craft or divination.
We officially registered as a CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) chapter in the fall of 2015, but some incarnation of a pagan group has been in place at First Unitarian Church of Omaha for over ten years.

We do not meet in December. We are holding our annual planning meeting to determine the 2017 schedule on Sunday, January 8 at 6 PM. Please come to give your input.
