Group Overview: Group Overview: This group is designed and patterned under and by the national CUUPs (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) guidelines. We are welcoming to all forms of earth-based/pagan practice of a positive and family-friendly nature.
If you are a solitary suddenly finding yourself in need of public or group ritual – or - Maybe you have never been to a public ritual and would like to find out what it would be like – or - Maybe you are questioning or researching this path, for personal interest, and would just like more information. This is the place for you.
The UU Church of Manchester formed a CUUPs chapter and offered our first public ritual at Samhain of 2005. The need to form a group for Pagan practice in our own church was great. Many of our members follow a pagan tradition of one form or another. After much discussion and planning, the bylaws were finalized and the rituals began. We offer 8 sabbat celebrations a year and also planning workshops and other special rituals and groups. Uncanoonuc CUUPs also provides a few Sunday services for the UU Church of Manchester throughout the year.
We have a Yahoo list for ritual planning and meeting announcements, and another open public list for discussion and announcements. We welcome input and/or help from visitors and frequent guests for planning our Sabbat rituals! No one person is ever responsible for planning, and we find that the more people we have plan events, the more eclectic and enjoyable they are!
