Serenity Grove & Coven
A WitchVox Sponsor

Age Range/Type: Family
Located in: Rochester, New Hampshire
Key Contact: Arianthe

Spiritual Path: Blue Star Traditional Wicca
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Open Circles... Legal Clergy... Teaching Available

Group Overview: Serenity was formed in late 2010 by MorningStar and Arianthe.
It is the third Blue Star Traditional Coven/Grove on the US east coast that was co-founded by MorningStar who has been a Pagan Priestess for nearing 3 decades.

The Grove meets at least one Moon a month and all the Sabbats. Interested parties are welcome to all open rituals listed on our website calendar, but are encouraged to talk, and meet, prior to ritual dates.

Serenity is a family oriented group - our rituals are often child friendly, and involve components for kids to be actively involved as much or as little of the rituals as they wish.
We have no restrictions based on age, race, gender, or lifestyle. We're a very geek-tastic group, unapologetically so, with LARPing, Sci-Fi, Star Trek/Wars, RPG Gamers; We are Foodies and Herbalists, Crafters and GeoCashers. We believe strongly that who we are, and what we do - are tethered to our spirituality in as they are integral to our being.

These are the Priestesses in Your Neighborhood...
MorningStar and Arianthe are advocates for family and child centered community outreach, and enjoyed creating and running Free Spirit Pagan Youth Track for the Free Spirit Gathering in MD.

MorningStar is a Prison Minister and Advocate for Prison Ministry works which she performs in the State of Massachusetts. She is actively seeking folks interested in Prison Ministry and Advocacy, to bring equal opportunity and access to faith to Wiccan/Pagans who are serving time in correctional facilities. MorningStar has been a Blue Star Priestess for over 20 years.

Arianthe is a recently Initiated Priestess, and one of few Blue Star Clergy to have actually been brought up from early childhood within the Tradition. She is very conscientious about local charities and often seeks to incorporate food/clothing drives into larger Sabbat celebrations, and invested in the growth of local pagan and eclectic businesses. Arianthe is the head of the Teens Programming at FSG, and is the new head coordinator for the Children's programming as well. She is also Serenity's Chanteuse/Choir Director.

Blue Star:

Blue Star is a Teaching Tradition and has a hierarchical learning structure, but with none of the "holier than thou" - the structure exists to facilitate learning and growth, not authoritarianism. Each Coven is autonomous, though all are connected through a "family bond" -, we call our bi-annual get-togethers: Family Gathers.

501c3 Status:
While Serenity is not a 501c3 group - Blue Star Wicca has created the Blue Star Foundation which IS angling for 501c3 status for the entire Tradition and to provide legal recourse to that end.
