Group Overview: A meditation group exists in the Northern Camden/Gloucester County area for interested spiritual practitioners who wish to make the most of the unlimited benefits of meditative practice.
This group is informal, spiritual, but non-denominational. It is not meant to be a replacement for your current spiritual path; it is merely a means for further enhancing the path you are on. We will investigate multiple styles and traditions of meditation in our meetings.
The group is intended to be a working meditation group; and therefore, not a social group, per se. Although, special social occasions would not be excluded.
For those unfamiliar with meditative practices, please read the excerpt from Wikipedia below:

Meditation is often presented not as a "free-standing" activity, but as one part of a wider spiritual tradition. Nevertheless, many meditators today do not follow an organized religion, or do not consider themselves to do so faithfully. Religious authorities typically insist that spiritual practices such as meditation belong in the context of a well-rounded religious life that may include ritual or liturgy, scriptural study, and the observance of religious laws or regulations.
Meditation may serve simply as a means of relaxation from a busy daily routine; as a technique for cultivating mental discipline; or as a means of gaining insight into the nature of reality, or of communing with Divinity.
