Group Overview: We are a Temple of the Thessalian Strix faith. Essentially, this means that we are a folk tradition of the Craft, rooted in the surviving lore of Hellas (Greece) . We are evolutionists, not reconstructionists.
We emphasize direct communion with the Gods and Goddesses. We have a series of levels and officer roles to facilitate healthy running of our Temple, as well as to preserve the core integrity of our tradition.
Our training encompasses a series of nine "points" (after the nine pointed star - which is a very important sigil in our lore) . Initiates learn through both experiential and academic processes. Our curriculum includes seasonal festivals, pathworking/trance journeys, the Western mysteries, the Chaldean oracles, aspecting (ie possession by Deity) , group dynamics, holistic healing, divination, and the elements. Apart from tradition specific teachings, we also discuss, learn, and associate with other Pagan traditions and other "mainstream" religions.
We emphasize personal responsibility, honor, knowledge, loyalty to family (both of blood and of spirit) , and respect.
