Group Overview: SWEFA has been sponsoring open events in the Albuquerque area since the 1970s. Public festivals are held at Beltane (a major festival, attended by 350 people in 2004, including attendees from other states) , Yule, Samhain, and a fall festival "Enchanted Mountain Gathering." Festivals are held at forested campgrounds with camping in the warm months, and indoors during the colder months. They include rituals, workshops, musical events, merchants, drumming and dancing, and children's activities.
