Group Overview: Moon Dance Coven is a legally chartered congregation of the Celtic Witan Church, which was founded in Los Angeles in 1985 as an offshoot of 1734 Traditional Witchcraft. The church now has hived off covens in four different states. Moon Dance Coven relocated in 2005 to Albuquerque, NM, and as a teaching coven, we are currently seeking members. As an open coven, we accept members regardless of race, sexual or gender orientation.
We circle at member homes, so we need to meet interested people face-to-face before inviting you to our circles. We are clergy-led and offer Hearthstone and Priesthood training as well as lifecycle rituals from birth to death. We circle at Sabbats and full moon celebrations, mostly on the Westside near the Petroglyphs but sometimes East of the Moon & West of the Sun..
