Group Overview: We are a local ritual group that is an off-shoot of what once was Avalon's Gate (A local pagan store that hosted these rituals and sadly closed in 2009) and yet we persevere.
We celebrate the Sabbats in the turn of the year. Our group is comprised of many different people walking their individual paths. Our goal and focus with this group is to create a space in which people can have an experience with the divine, where they feel welcomed and accepted and safe.
Our rituals range from traditional to non-traditional. We pull inspiration from a variety of traditions and cultures. Our rituals are designed to be entertaining, educational and meaningful. We use a lot of elements of sacred theater, including costuming, singing, dancing, and the occasional sword fight. :) There is a lot of talent and creativity running through these events.
Our rituals are generally held on the Saturday evening closest to the sabbat. We do most of our networking and announcements on Facebook under The Gate Ritual Group. You can also find us in person on the third Tuesday of every month at 7pm for the Witches Meetup which is held in varying locations given the closure of Borders.
