Group Overview: Group Overview: Review of Group: The Black Forest Clan Circle and Seminary was founded by Lady Silver Ravenwolf in 1990. As a part of the Black Forest Clan family, Clan Celestial Turtle formed in Nevada in 2008. Black Forest incorporates Celtic Shamanism and Germanic Witta, along with British Traditional, Druidism, and the practice of the system of POW WOW. As a clergy training organization, our students will in turn will be of service to others. We are an initiatory and oath bound organization, and therefore membership is by invitation only.
What We Do: As a clergy training and service oriented entity, we provide core instruction and an atmosphere in which students will progress through a three level degree system, while cumulatively adding to their numerous responsibilities expected for the roles that they will undertake. Formal instruction and skill level attainment averages four to five years. Clergy and students embrace their continuing education, and in addition to a myriad of services, conduct Healing Circles/Sabbats/Esbats throughout the year, many of which the general public is welcome to attend. The Celestial Turtle gleans requests for healing works of a positive nature from the general public as well. We are working with other area clergy to network administering to those in need, as well as performing handfastings. We believe in the respect and preservation of Mother Earth, assisting each other in order that we may all achieve our highest aspirations, civil and religious rights and freedoms, the concept that we are all a part of The One.
How We Roll: Entrance/membership into Black Forest/Clan of the Celestial Turtle is by invitation only. An applicant will already have practiced the craft for at least one year. The perspective student will then be guided through an interview process, and if accepted , be dedicated into the coven atmosphere. The first year is conditional upon progress and positive group interaction.
...Distance learning may be available if you live in the Northern half of Nevada (there is a group in the Reno area) , or outside of the Las Vegas area; however, circumstances will be evaluated on a one-on-one basis. At the present time, we have long distance students in California, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.
