Anahata Wiccan Grove of New City
A WitchVox Sponsor

Age Range/Type: Adult
Located in: New City, New York
Key Contact: Deborah Lipp

Spiritual Path: Traditional Wicca
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Teaching Available

Group Overview: We are a traditional, somewhat formal Wiccan ritual and study group led by a Gardnerian HPS and HP. A solid grounding in the basics, study, hard work, and self-exploration can lead us to wonderful and unexpected places. Traditional Wicca is a life path and a Mystery religion. Because this work is demanding and powerful, entry into it is necessarily slow, and includes a prerequisite application.

Adults and teens with parental permission are welcome. We have members from New Jersey and Westchester as well as Rockland County. NYC residents be warned: Our bus & train routes end weekend service too early to be convenient for attending ritual; this is a location that requires a car (or a sleeping bag) .

The High Priestess of Anahata is Deborah Lipp, author of The Elements of Ritual and The Way of Four.

Currently, seekers will be redirected to one of our affiliated training groups. Feel free to contact us for more information. Training groups are open to students who wish to learn Wicca in both a class and ritual setting. In addition, students who request it will be able to meet and discuss the potential for initiation, your path, how to strengthen your work, and more.

Rituals are structured, with leadership by the HP and HPS, but with room for everyone to participate. Students take roles in the rituals, and eventually are given the opportunity to lead.

Our orientation is one of reverence, joy, and mutual devotion. By that I mean that we take our rituals very seriously, we have a lot of fun and laughter in them, we work hard on behalf of our students, and we expect our students to give as good as they get!

Anahata is the heart chakra. May our hearts be open. Blessed be.
