Spiritual Path: Celtic Wicca
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Open Circles... Teaching Available

Group Overview: Our group runs public circles, so those interested in learning about Wicca or experiencing it in a group setting have a safe place to gather.
What happens at a circle? Well, each gathering is a litlle different depending on who is leading the circle, who attends and what kind of circle it is. Esbats - New Moon gatherings are focused on learning and sometimes have guided meditations or almost a workshop type energy. Full Moons most always have a Magickal working, and materials are provided. Sabbats are treated as Holy days. We honor the Lord and Lady and celebrate the turning of the Wheel.
Mostly we follow a standard format. We smudge and bless the circle and the attendees. We call the directions, cast a circle, call the God and Goddess, and sometimes do Chalice and Blade. Then depending on the type of circle it is, we either do a teaching, a craft or celebrate. We serve cakes and ale (cookies and juice) , give thanks and open the circle. Sometimes we pass a talking stick, drum, chant or sing. Most times children are welcome, but sometimes the circle planned is not suitable for children, meaning it would be too complicated for them to follow or a long guided meditation might be too much for them to sit thru with out disturbing others. Please call to find out if you do wish to bring along your young person.

We ask that anyone planning to attend one of our gatherings please read the following rules. Over our many years of experience leading public circles, the need to set down rules has become a must. Some people wanting to share our magickal space had very little respect for the Craft or our Circle. We will not tolerate badly behaved children or adults and if you treat our circle with disrespect you will be asked to leave and may be un-invited for good.

Everyone is welcome to come to a circle. We are wiccan, but seekers from other paths have enjoyed our gatherings too.

Here is what you need to do:
Call the Shop 845 255 5756 and choose a circle to come to. Your name will be put on a list for that gathering. In the nice weather at an outside gathering we can seat up to 60 people, but if it's not nice we are limited to 25 indoor seats. If you are not on the list we will not be able to let you in. Plus we need a head count to make sure we have enough supplies. We also ask that if you sign up and then are not able to come, that you PLEASE call and let us know, so we can give your seat to someone on our waiting list for that circle. Even if it's very close to the start time and you can't come, someone would really like to be let in. No call and No show, means you are No loner are welcome to come to circle again.

All circles start promptly at 7pm. A donation basket to cover costs is at the East Gate, it's on your honor. Extra proceeds go towards our Annex fund. (We are saving to build a larger gathering space) If you are late you will not be let in until cakes and ale, or possibly not at all. No Exceptions. Do not knock it's rude!

No one under 18 may attend a gathering with out a parent or legal guardian, and their adult must stay for the duration to supervise and take responsibility for their child.

We do not allow cameras, some people are still in the "broom closet" and deserve a safe space to worship. Cell phones must be set to vibrate so only you are disturbed, and even then we would not expect you to answer it and disrupt the circle. If you need to leave you may do so before circle is cast or after cakes and ale. So, if you are coming plan to stay.

Circle usually goes to 9pm, but some have lasted as late as 10pm. There is no dress code, some wear robes, some street cloths, but no sky clads please :)

Lisa the shop owner is a Wiccan Hps and anyone who leads circle is a dedicated Priest or Priestess. We are all very serious about what we do, but we are friendly and welcoming too. Weather you have been on the path for decades or just starting out we don't think you will be disapointed. Hope to see you soon.
Brightest Blessings
