Spiritual Path: Seasons of Life Tradition
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Open Circles... Legal Clergy... Teaching Available

Group Overview: Sisters of Medusa comes from the lineage of the Living Tapestry Tradition. Our High Priestess Phoenix Medusa did her degree work with LTT which was based in Richmond Indiana and wishes to honor her teachers Lady Teal, Lord Glacier and Elder Silver. She hived off in 1999 and created her first coven which was The Coven of the Moonlight Labyrinth in Ithaca, NY. She went on to create a women only group called the Daughters of Medusa. When she made the move to Rochester, NY in 2005 the Ithaca Daughters of Medusa took on a new name and continued on as a group with the new name The Merry Elementals. They are still meeting today and are recognized as having official lineage with the Daughters of Medusa. Upon arriving in Rochester a Rochester Daughters of Medusa began. In 2009 the name was changed to Sisters of Medusa.

As our coven has evolved and grown over the years we have created our own tradition. This past year Phoenix Medusa made the choice to revamp the coven and officially begin our own tradition. We are now the Seasons of life Tradition.

Our teachings are based on the mystery of the four fold Goddess and the seasons of our lives.

We celebrate the full moon and holidays with women who are interested in being a part of a women only circle. We have a inner circle for those interested in an initiated, degree based coven. Rituals are by invitation only and to become a part of the inner circle there are requirements that must be met. If you are interested in learning more about this you can set up a time to meet with our HPS.

We are all women but do not consider ourselves Dianic because we believe the divine that resides in all of us is both male and female. We believe that we all embody that energy. Two of our rituals during the year are opened up to the men in our community. At the Summer Solstice we have a male honoring ritual for the men in our lives and the men in the pagan community. At Samhain we have a ritual to honor our beloved dead and once again we invite the men in our lives and from our community to celebrate with us.

Medusa is the Goddess that we have dedicated our circle to. We see her as the protector of women's mysteries and the one who holds the mirror up so we may face ourselves. Our work is deep and our commitment is strong.

We are sisters of the heart and bound by our blood.

If you are interested in becoming a Sister of Medusa we are taking new members at this time.
