Group Overview: Circle of Mother Earth's Meetup Group is the "social networking arm" of Circle of Mother Earth, a Pagan church founded in Southwestern Ohio in 2005 by Tom Smith and Sandy Bradley-Smith. At Circle of Mother Earth we offer a full menu of spiritual and social services including weddings, handfastings, wiccanings, spiritual counseling and guidance, and funeral and remembrance services, as well as social gatherings and other opportunities to get together with other Pagans, Witches, Wiccans, and Shamans. We are currently working towards obtaining full non-profit status as a church so that we can provide an even broader range of services to Pagan folks living in Southwestern Ohio.
We are dedicated practicing Pagans from Clermont and Brown Counties, and points beyond, who are striving to live a fuller Pagan lifestyle. We are seeking to build a Pagan community that IS CommUnity. With that in mind, we get together on a regular basis to learn, grow and celebrate our Pagan beliefs. We don't require that that our members be of any certain Pagan tradition, but we do ask that they be serious about their Pagan path and that they have a real desire to move forward on it. We expect our members to be more than members-in-name only. Regular participation in our Meetups, celebrations, service projects, classes of interest and other activities, and regular payment of our small monthly dues are requirements for continuing membership in the group. We are not trying to be hard-nosed about these things, but getting together on a regular basis helps members to bond and build close caring relationships with other group members, thus establishing the foundation for true Community.
