Group Overview: We are an Asatru (Norse Heathen) kindred.....Hearthstead Kindred is a group of Asatruar dedicated to keeping alive the traditions of our ancestors as well as dedication to the home and hearth arts. These include but are not limited to handspinning, weaving and textile arts, sewing our necessary gear as well as mundane needed clothing; soapmaking, candlemaking, cooking, gardening, harvest and preservation plus brewing wine, mead and ale when necessary.
We celebrate traditions of the changing seasons in our monthly Blot, Feast and Sumbel. If you are a transplanted Asafolk looking for others, please get in touch! If you are a Seeker looking to find somewhere to fit, we will be happy to educate you as best we can and answer any questions you have.
We are a decent bunch of people who get together to share kinship, fellowship and a little work, then raise a horn for Blot, Feast and Sumbel, celebrating our path and our faith. For us, it isn't a "religion", its a LIFESTYLE!
