Group Overview: Sphinx Clan is a family of training covens in the Black Forest Clan tradition of Witchcraft. Within this tradition, initiates serve the Gods as pagan clergy. Our primary focus is Celtic/Germanic Witchcraft including folk magic and Pennsylvania Dutch Pow Wow. Black Forest Clan covens are not social clubs, although we do enjoy the company of our “family”. Clan members experience Traditional training in a family-style environment, and encouragement of personal development and interests.
Our practices are derived from a number of Craft traditions that make up our lineage as well as the folk healing system known as “pow-wow”. The primary deity forms are Celtic and Germanic in origin.
Sphinx Clan currently includes three covens, which maintain a familial relationship. Application to this Clan will include consideration by Sphinx Coven (Cincinnati) , Fire Roc Coven (West Chester) and Dubh Dair Falchou Coven (Milford) .
