Mythic Quest: Shamanic Book Study

Group Overview: We begin our study group by reading The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell. Our group offers get- togethers at a public library in Canton, Ohio at as well as an online gathering forum for friends in other places (located at https://www.facebook.com/groups/MythicQuest/) . We will meet every other week to review a chapter of the book, beginning in February of 2013. We will also do shamanic work that correlates to the reading material and personalizes the hero's quest for each of us. For those joining us from other regions, recordings of sample shamanic journeys will be made available for download.
After finishing this book, we will move on to other texts on mythology and archetypes, sacred symbolism related to the seasons, animals, plant lore and much more, all with a shamanic component and offering much in the way of inner work & meditation.
