Group Overview: The Sacred Oak Grove is a Druidic Grove in the Arthurian, Celtic Wiccan tradition. It is for those seeking a true Druidic path celebrating knowledge, truth, justice, spiritual fellowship and community service. We celebrate Esbats on the full moon, tutorials on the new, and wheel-of-the-year Sabbats on the occasion.
Members of the Inner Circle commit to both group and individual studies for spiritual growth. An Outer Circle has been established for those wishing to celebrate just the Sabbats.
The Ancient and Honourable Order of the Sacred Oaks was officially founded at the Winter Solstice, (Alban Arthuan) 1998, but had been functioning "un-offically" for several years. It is incorporated and has 501 (c) 3 status. It charters groves meeting established criteria and dedicated to authentic Druidic principles and traditions, for those aspiring to the excellence of Druidry.
The Order has established an active Druidic College to standardize and promote study, and an Ordination Board which will ordain clergy upon completion of a prescribed course of study.
The Grove and Order have sponsored annual Eisteddfod contests for poetry, storytelling and Celtic music in the Portland area.
The Order hopes to acquire land for ritual and other pagan activities. (Tax deductible donations are most welcome!)
We will gladly provide speakers and information for groups wishing to learn more about Druidic history and the journey of the Druid.

Although based as much as possible on authentic Welsh/Irish tradition, the Grove and Order recognize that we live in changing times and as times change, so must we. Yet we strive to return to the "old", lost, values.
We are listed on the Druid Network in Britain, the Groupe Druidic des Gaules in France and as a local resource in the new edition of Drawing Down the Moon.
