Group Overview: The WOU Pagan Studies Society is a student organization at Western Oregon University.
It was founded to provide opportunities for education and rituals in Pagan topics as well as to somewhat explore other "alternative" belief systems, which hitherto have had no voice on campus.
The club provides Full Moon Rituals and Sabbats for WOU students, as well as Wicca 101 lessons.
The Faculty advisor is an initiated Priestess and will be offering the opportunity for students to learn how to form their own coven, as well as facilitate Witch initiations for those who qualify (generally a year and a day of study is the basic qualification) .
The club also features guest speakers in various Pagan traditions, Metaphysical topics, and other alternative belief systems.
Training, rituals, movies, guest speakers and other activities, in general, will focus primarily on specifically Pagan paths, such as (but not limited to) Wicca and Witchcraft in its various forms such as Celtic, Norse, Egyptian etc.; also Druidism, Voodoo, Vodou, various native/Aboriginal faiths, and on and on....
In addition to this main focus on Paganism, we will also periodically have guest speakers on other alternative belief systems, such as Buddhism, Zoastrianism, Atheism, and anything else our members show an interest in.
