Group Overview: The Oakmist Tradition is a traditionalist and hereditary group.
We are not Wiccan.
Witchcraft is our Craft, not our religion.
We are strongly closeted and do not do public ritual.
We are cousins of NECTW.
The Oakmist Tradition is a training tradition.
We train our students to lead their own groups.
Oakmist teaches each student to make and use their own tools.
Oakmist stresses polarity and fertility; valuing masculine as well as feminine energies.
We celebrate both Sabbats and Esbats.
We only accept students over 18 years of age.
We do not charge money for training.
We do require students to pay for their own materials.
Our first level students focus on tools and ritual.
Our second level students choose a specialty.
Our third level students learn to lead a group.
Oakmist students strive to achieve a deep understanding of Ritual, Qabalah and Tarot.
Oakmist has active covens in Portland, Oregon and in New Glamorgan, Wales.
We accept serious, committed students only.
Most of our members have been with us over 10 years.
We are not positive we will be taking new students, but are putting up this ad to see if there is interest in the Portland, Oregon area. New students must be willing to travel to our location for lessons, Sabbats, and Esbats. There is also a possibility of online study.
