Group Overview: Grove of Gaia
Grove of Gaia is a training coven located in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh. Apprentices work toward initiation in our eclectic Gardnerian tradition, and learn the ways of ritual, power within, and spiritual leadership. In January 2013, we celebrate eight years of Wicca ritual and training in the Pittsburgh community!
Lady Annabelle, High Priestess of Grove of Gaia, teaches workshops in Shamanism, Women's Mysteries, Tarot, and Wicca for Families, and there are special seminar offerings taught by Grove of Gaia elders and initiates.
Lady Annabelle has been a third level High Priestess of Gardnerian Wicca since 1993, and is the co-leader and principal teacher with Grove of Gaia. Over the years, Lady A has taught over 250 students the ways of Wicca, initiating 21.
Grove of Gaia has distance coveners in Syracuse, NY, Olympia, WA, and Greenwood, SC, and has daughter covens in Syracuse, NY and Pittsburgh, PA. Each year, GoG puts on Grove of Gaia Fest, a popular Pagan event.
A 9 to12 week class called The Philosophy and Magick of Wicca is periodically offered by the Grove of Gaia and is open to those drawn to the beautiful path of Wicca who would like to learn more about it. We have developed a 20 week on-line version of the class. Email for more info at groveofgaia@gmail.com.
Grove of Gaia maintains closed circles at esbats and most sabbats. Some sabbats are are offered open, including Yule, and Beltane. Contact Lady Annabelle for information about Grove of Gaia.
Grove of Gaia welcomes inquiries, and is one of the founding members of Hills and Rivers Local Council of Covenant of the Goddess.
