Group Overview: What is Clover Grove?

Clover Grove, an Earth Centered group and lay led ministry of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Harrisburg, provides a place for both our congregation and the wider community to explore Earth Centered beliefs, spiritualities and philosophies. We are also a member of the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPs) .

What do we do?

We gather for fellowship and to celebrate and honor the Earth and connect with nature. Our monthly gatherings are held the third Wednesday of each month at 7pm (usually ending between 8:30 and 9) . Gatherings consist of a wide variety of spiritual practices and activities. Some of our past activities have included:

guided meditations, walking the labyrinth, bonfires, drumming circles, sabbat rituals, silent tea ceremonies, medicine wheels, creating mandalas, scrying, spells/rituals for self improvement and to heal the Earth, and more. We also work with Queen Spirit every year to create a public Winter Solstice Celebration.

Who can attend gatherings?

Everyone! Our group serves a wide variety of earth centered beliefs whether one considers her or himself to be pagan, earth centered, tree hugger, or nature lover. Ceremonies and rituals are taken from many sources including Native American, Celtic, other Western European traditions, Eastern philosophies, neo-pagan beliefs, New Age, general respect for nature, and the individual inclinations of our members. Our members include both deists and atheists. Everyone is welcome to attend a gathering at any time whether she or he self identifies as Earth Centered or is just interested in the particular topic of the evening.

Although our gatherings do not include rituals that are inappropriate for children, they also may not be very interesting to young children. If you would like to attend but don’t think your child will be able to sit through the evening, call or email a week in advance and we will ensure that childcare is available.
