Group Overview: Greetings everyone,
Here is a brief introduction about us.

We are a coven of honorable witches located in the upstate region surrounded by woods and open land. We are one of the few that still believes that the Craft is an ancient tradition and religion. We believe that it is the mysteries, the knowledge, the closeness to Nature, and the old belief in the Great Mother and her Consort, that makes up the religion of Witchcraft, rather than the practical means by which to explore these mysteries, whether it be shamanistic or ceremonial.
The coven places great importance in values such as honor, respect, wisdom and maturity. We also have a deep understanding that there is no sexism of any kind. Both genders have a mature respect and appreciation of each others roles in nature and in life. We also have an inner priesthood, which is optional to the coven members. There are no degrees, as we do not feel the need for a degree system. Our deities consist of the ancient Moon Goddess and the Horned God, we honor the guardians, the four elements, and our ancestors. We have the understanding that not every one of us believes in exactly the same way, and everyone has a slightly different personal belief in things.
Our rituals are referred to as meetings (for safety) , and they are held in the woods at night. When it rains they are held in a barn. The meetings consist of the four Celtic holy day sabbats, the four seasonal meetings, and also the full moon sabbats. There will be times when we perform sacred ceremonies and honorable rites aside from our regular meetings. We take our rites seriously. After the meetings the members will be invited in my home where we sit down in the living room and indulge in chocolates, tea or coffee, and have conversations. There are no formal classes. Instead we have informal lessons that are taught orally, and are held late at night in front of the fire. This is where we learn much of the ways. One must know that even though we teach many things, there is always a will to learn and grow from each other, and the members of the coven can be our teachers as we are theirs. It is an honorable thing to learn from one another, as everything and everyone has something to teach. The outdoor fireplace is also a place where we tell stories, share experiences, and let out feelings. This comes following the lessons. Cheese, good breads, fruits and wine will be given (if under 21, juice) .
It is important to understand that although we are in a coven each of us are also independent witches, and each of us have our own lives to fulfill. What we do outside the coven is our own personal business.
We also do not believe in personality or energy clashes. A seeker of the coven should not have to live in fear of his or her personality or energy not being parallel to that of the rest of the coven. This way he or she can achieve fulfillment, personal experiences, inner spiritual growth, happiness, self acceptance, and energy bonding, without doubt which causes separation.
The coven consists of four positions. They are the high priestess, the high priest, the maiden and the summoner. Every covener is to be treated with much respect, honor, appreciation and love of one another, including the four.
We are governed by a small set of understandings that ensures the coven is strong and healthy, and its members are treated fairly. We believe that everything must have some structure in order to perform properly and to live on. The coven will always exist in health and love. We are also an adult coven, so one must be at least eighteen years of age or older. The covenstead is surrounded by woods and open land. It is truly a wonderful place for the Old Religion. We are not too far from the areas of Greenville and Spartanburg. The distance is within reason.

blessings with deep love,

L BlackWolf
