Group Overview: We are a Celtic Pagan (vs. Wiccan) Household (vs. Coven) . We follow a Spiritual Path based on the turn of the Sacred Wheel of Life. As nature revolves around the wheel, so do we. It is the belief of the Seekers of Balance that if we attune ourselves to this Sacred Turning, our lives will become more balanced and thus more fulfilling.
We believe that everyone has three major parts to their existence, much like a three-legged milking stool.
The first leg is our physical side. This includes our physical health and sexuality.
The second leg is our mental side. As we move through life we learn constantly. If we don’t, we stagnate.
The third leg is our spiritual side. This is our relationship with others in our lives as well as our relationship with the Lord and Lady.
All three should be equally developed, thus we gain balance in life. If we neglect any leg, we are no longer balanced, and like the three legged milking stool, we become unable to accomplish the mission of our life. We fall over.
We are aided in this undertaking by our Deities. We are a Polytheistic Household, believing in a Lady Goddess and a Lord God who work together. They are our Mother and Father, who love and protect us always. They do expect us to fend for ourselves when we can, but they will always be there to help us when we need them
Although both the Lady and the Lord wear many faces, -and we acknowledge this - we call upon them as the Lady Belisama and the Lord Cernunnos. Within ritual context, we may call upon them by many names when the need arises.
We aid ourselves in balancing our lives by following the Wheel of the Year. As the year turns and changes, it affects our lives in a very definite fashion.
We are a group that concerns itself with SPIRITUAL growth versus CRAFT practice.
