Yew Grove Pagan Interfaith

Age Range/Type: Adult
Located in: Austin, Texas, Texas
Key Contact: Stephanie

Spiritual Path: Eclectic
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Open Circles...

Group Overview: Yew Grove Pagan Interfaith is proud to be a recognized group within the First Unitarian Universalist Church at Austin. Yew Grove is not a coven, but an open group of people coming together to learn about Earth Centered Spirituality and a variety of Pagan faith practices.

We seek to be a welcoming environment for people of all faiths to learn more about Paganism, and for the Pagan community to grow and share.

Our mission is three-fold:

First, we provide spiritual connection, ritual, and a safe, supportive environment to people of any - and no - faith background. We want you to feel comfortable to explore, learn, share, and grow in your spiritual quest. Atheists are welcome, as are people of any other background.

Secondly, we offer information, education, and networking opportunities to Pagans (and interested parties of other faiths) , and also to do outreach and interfaith work with non-Pagans to promote religious tolerance and understanding. The Unitarian Universalist church offers many groups and social action opportunities for those who are interested.

The third part of our mission is to promote a better world by connecting our ritual themes to charitable opportunities to create a better world as appropriate. You will never be required to give in order to participate fully in what we do. Give as your heart and finances allow; but in any case, be welcome!

In that spirit, we are currently offering Full Moon circles each month.

Whether or not you define yourself as "Pagan", you are invited to come and discover for yourself what Pagans do!

We feel strongly that each person has the right (and the responsibility) to sort out for themself what spiritual path works best for them. You will not be pressured to join either Yew Grove or the Unitarian Universalist church.

Note: We do ask that visitors behave respectfully and refrain from proselytising. We strongly discourage speaking ill of other faiths, let's be loving & respectful to each other here.

If your actions interfere with the ability of others around you to enjoy and feel safe in their spiritual space, you may be asked to leave. We would be happy to guide you to resources for solitary practictioner if needed.
