Pagan Spirituality Group--UUCEP
Age Range/Type: Family
Located in: El Paso, Texas
Key Contact: Tina
Spiritual Path: Eclectic
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Open Circles... Legal Clergy... Teaching Available

Group Overview: The Pagan Spirituality Group is sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Community of El Paso (UUCEP) , located at 4425 Byron Street.
The group is open to everyone no matter what their level of learning.
We have a Tarot Study Class on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at UUCEP's annex building: The Crane House 3500 Tyler Ave. It is 2 blocks down Bryon from the main UUCEP building.
Classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and childcare is provided.
We also have our Teaching Moon Esbats each month as well as celebrate the Sabbats. On the last Wednesday of each month we hold a Drumming Circle at The Crane House at 6:30 p.m. and children are invited to join us and raise a bit of energy. The Drumming Circle doesn't have an official head, so we just get together and have a good time. If it comes out sounding good, cool! If not, eh oh well, we are having a good time, so all is good!
Every year we celebrate the new year with our Witch's Ball. It happens on the closest Saturday evening to Oct. 31st. We have a potluck feast, music, silent & live auctions (donations always welcomed) . We also have a terrific time! Childcare is provided for this event and we have crafts and games for the wee ones that do come.
All events are listed in the UUCEP's The El Paso NUUsletter which can be found at www.uuelpaso.org in the newsletter section.
A collection dish is put out for monetary donations to help cover costs of extra childcare expenses. It isn't mandatory, but it is greatly appreciated.
Our group is very eclectic not only in heritage, but also path.
We have a few ordained clergy within the group, as well as military, solitaries and those not sure where their path is headed.
We are very much the family type group and welcome those with wee ones to join us. All sabbats are open to children and if you feel your child is ready to learn tarot, they are welcome to join us as well.
Since we are a group of eclectics, we also share in taking turns holding the circles. So each circle is a bit different from the time before. We are ALL students and as such, all learning from each other.
Every couple of months, we hold a Pagan Council Meeting that is open for everyone to come and help shape the next couple of months worth of events and discuss what has been working and what hasn't.
