Group Overview: This WitchVox account is one of the many portals to inform the Pagan/Pagan Friendly Community about the Community Rituals that will be taking place 8 times a year to celebrate the changing seasons.

Hello! I am the coordinator behind Eclectic Traditions and I strive to bring about a pagan community where men, women, children, & families can gather and celebrate the changing seasons. I was the coordinator for Heimdalls Bridge (HB) and when people started to hear that it would be closing, many expressed concern of not having a place to bring their families to a community gathering like the ones HB offered.

I was saddened that many had found a safe place to celebrate the seasons with their families and it would be going away when the store closed. I decided to not give up and immediately started putting steps into place where I would coordinate 8 events a year to celebrate the changing of the seasons under another name.

The last community ritual at HB was Samhain, held in October of 2011. During a time represented by death, we gathered one last time at HB to say goodbye. In December of 2011, a time represented by rebirth and transformation we celebrated Yule and Eclectic Traditions was born. Both rituals were the biggest we ever had thus far and the timing of the rituals was very symbolic.

As a community coordinator I strive to bring about community rituals that bring the community together and help those who are constantly seeking and learning down their spiritual path which is why I chose the name Eclectic Traditions: A variety of handed down [or newly learned] beliefs. With this objective in mind I invite leaders from many spiritual paths in the community to represent many ways of celebrating the seasons. Many attendees have said that Eclectic Traditions helped them start out on a spiritual path because of the variety of spirituality they were able to experience before hand. No classes or prior education required to attend community rituals, but if you are a "Newbie" on everything pagan please read Attendee Etiquette & Rules on the website.

I am glad you are interested in Eclectic Traditions!
