Group Overview: Rosewood House is dedicated to the Old Gods and is a Traditional House of the Old Religion located in Roanoke, VA. Our teachings are based on the ancient ways of Celtic Traditional Witchcraft or the "Old Religion" as influenced by the family tradition of our Queen Mother, the Lady Circe of the Sisterhood and Brotherhood of the Old Religion in Toledo, OH. Rosewood is also influenced by the teachings of Prytani Celtic, Strega, and Faery and is an initiatory mystery path.
Rosewood is led by Lady Willow-Duir, a traditionally-trained high priestess who has been practicing the craft for almost 20 years. Trained through Foxwood Temple of the Old Religion in Laurel, MD, she began teaching the Old Religion in Roanoke in 2001 with the blessings of her elders. She established Rosewood House in October 2008 as a traditional initiatory coven. At Rosewood House, we love and care for each other as we grow into an understanding of ourselves, our Gods, and our place within the sacred circle.
Rosewood House offers a year-long Introduction to Traditional Witchcraft class annually. This training is aimed at providing accurate information on the Old Religion and is not necessarily aimed at eventual initiation into the tradition. Additional training and experiential activities are available for dedicates and initiates of Rosewood House.
