Group Overview: We are an ever evolving group of Hand drummers, percussionists, and dancers, who get together twice a month (On the first and third Saturday Evenings) . We meet in the rear garden at Grandin Gardens. The emphasis is on Middle Eastern and African Drumming and the Spirituality surrounding it. Lately there has been more and more Native American drums and chanting.
No matter your experience level, or whether you actually own instruments, please feel free to join us. We have a few extra instruments, and all of us started out as beginners, with the more seasoned drummers showing us the way. If you have them, bring your drums, castenets, zils, assorted percussion stuff, whatever.
Younger people are welcome if with an adult, as long as they are reaspectful, and not disruptive. Drumming is a spiritual exercise, and needs to be free from distraction to be magical.
