Group Overview: Kindlers of the Sacred Rhythm is a Pagan Coven dedicated to the Ordeal Path. Because of the intense nature of the work we do, we limit our membership to adults over the age of 21. (we understand that there are many fine reasons for children to be involved in Paganism, but our work is not appropriate for children)
We are all members of the BDSM community who are seeking spiritual connection and ecstasy through the ritual use of BDSM. This may be in the form if ritual drama, being in service to the Gods, intense physical or psychological ordeal, meditation or journey work. Most of us have been Pagans for some time and this group represents a fusion of the best parts of ourselves, our spiritual desires and our sacred play.
We believe that our spiritual ancestors (tribal people from all over the world) each honored some form of ritual ordeal. For example, the Sun Dance of the First Nations or the walk about of Australian Aboriginals. There is a great power which is released from deep inside an individual when they push beyond what they know they can do. Through ordeal, we test ourselves and discover who we are within the safety of our circle and the caring supportive arms of our friends.
We are an incorporated church in the state of VA and are seeking 501c3 status.
We hold open Sabbats and closed moons. We also teach what we have learned when asked and sponsor an event called Healing the Spirit each year. If you are interested in our work, please contact me and I will be happy to tell you about what we are doing.
