Group Overview: The Church of the Sacred Spiral is an eclectic Wiccan organization. It is a teaching, magical, and celebratory organization. Using an eclectic approach, drawing from many influences; Georgian, Gardnerian, and Alexandrian, as well as other traditions of Religious thought. Its members, Spiral Dancers, worship Deity under the concepts outlined in My Wicca (the 13 principles of the craft) by
Durwydd Mac Tara of the S.O.T.E.G. (Servants of the Elder Gods) , the longest form of the Wiccan Rede Poem to date, and the Ordains of The Church of the Sacred Spiral, derived from a number of Craft sources.
Spiral Dancers strive to stay on balance in life by applying knowledge to their experiences, maintaining honor and integrity, worked under a canopy of love. We define this as wisdom and our religion, Wicca, as a method to attain that goal. We claim only to speak for ourselves and no others.
We believe that each person has the right to identify and follow their own spiritual path. We DO NOT actively seek converts, but we will help those sincere seekers who come to learn our ways. They may then make their own informed choice.
We are a life affirming spirituality which is non-racist, non-sexist, non-exclusivist, honoring and preserving the Sacred Mother Earth, reviving the worship of the Old Gods as interpreted and adapted for the 21st century by the founders of this tradition. We seek a positive, personally accountable practice
that will create an environment where love, freedom, health, and prosperity can grow for every sentient being.
